Spiritual meditation for healing
Spiritual Meditation is a tool that can be used to get in touch with the core essence of who we are, as deeply spiritual beings. We all long to come home to the truth of who we are. This is an inward journey of healing. This spiritual journey often draws us into contact with many different meditation techniques - some of which are ancient in origin and some of which are based on more modern teachings. One particular form of meditation, known as "spiritual meditation", is a very personal meditation and form of healing where you tap into the deep peace that is in your heart.
The success of a meditative exercise depends on numerous factors, such as the experience of the instructor or teacher, the environment where it is undertaken, the time of the day and even the mood with which you approach your exercise.
I find that a couple of the more difficult tasks facing beginners are the blocking out of external distractions, such as noise or sensory stimuli, and also the quietening of one's thoughts and conscious mind. A good way to deal with these problems is to use a suitable background music or audio track. I personally prefer the sound of Tibetan singing bowls, and find it much easier to concentrate and reach a meditative state while listening to a quality meditation compact disc. Tibetan singing bowls create an amazing vibration that literally raises your own vibration while you are listening to them.
